You Invented Forever, By Cliff Paris Copyright 2008
Paris Project

You’re so clever making all those notes
Because No one would believe,

I can see beyond the skies
When you simply hold me

Your caress unfolds my life
We’re done with all the Prototypes

This Final version is lighter than air
Simple and Elegant With room to spare,

Notify all priests, all press and all prisoners
And whoever said “never, you fool”
Call in all doctors, all lawyers and all patients
You invented forever, you invented forever

We’re never falling dominos
Stories without ends

Built of some of this and some of that
In perpetual motion
Like Water Flowing
We occupy a frequency
We’re Three degrees passed ecstasy
And still going

So, concentrate real hard, Wish on a star,
In to the sky it goes with a good kick start

Notify NASA, all Teachers and Pulitzer
And whoever said “never, you fool”
Harness this love and reinforce all architecture
You invented forever, you invented forever

Bridge:
Sorrow is History
And Tomorrow is so Yesterday
Our bodies will soon fade away
There’ll be nothing to get in the way

Trademarked, watermarked and patented
Its forever, we invented

Bring Archeologists, Magicians and ghost hunters
And whoever, said “never, you fools”
Message ship captains, their wives and cartographers
You invented forever, for me and you,
You invented forever

Unroll the charts, release the doves and forgive the astronomers
And whoever said “never you, fools!”
Cut the ropes, unfurl the sails, infinity is counting on us
You invented forever, for me and you,
You invented forever

Trademarked, watermarked and patented
We’re forever

DEJA YOU
Written by Cliff Paris and Amanda Turner-Manning

It’s the moment of seduction
Where Eyes Meet Eyes

And it’s almost supernatural
When truths meet lies
Underground Culture
You and Me and everyone else out on the dance floor
Living our Lives, Separate lives

shadows and their moving as one
somehow together
Music Drive, Music Drives…Drive it.

Chorus:
Deja You
You change like a river
Your someone new
But the eyes give you away
They always do
Deja You

With every new beat I discover
A new ocean

I’m undressed before you touch me
You stop motion

In seconds we’re in ecstasy
A Peek connection, Traveling Lights, Moving Lights

One last look and we walk away,
And we are strangers, until next time
We stand in line.

Deja You
You change like a river
Your someone new
But the eyes give you away
They always do
Deja You

Bridge
We’ve danced before
A thousand times
I remember how you move
We’ve danced before A thousand times,
You have a Different name and done different crimes
But I always get stuck with the same guy.

Music Drives.

Keskare’ Floats

Turn On the Flashlight
Check the closet
And everywhere under the bed
Cause I saw something move

Don’t be afraid, Its only her
Visit for a minute and she’ll leave us undisturbed.

Detection sensors Don’t work
Alarms and charms are childs play
Letting in anything, anyone extraordinary
Like those who have already been
and those who have been here already

Keskare’
Keskare’
The kids say
You are the Most
But Why Daddy Why
Of all the ghosts
Does Keskare’,
Keskare’ Float

I’ve locked myself out again
In the rain and she tries every key, on the ring, in the latch
And the sound is like a teacher, trying to etch algebra
Into my brain

She brings me tea when I worry
Or I’m Cold
And she lies when I ask if she thinks of the past
I sip the tea pleasantly
Its never enough, to really harm me

Chorus

She plays her little piano
Sounds like a greeting card, with the battery about to go.

She rights wrongs, when the ball goes over the fence
Hits a window, or makes a dent
There’s a note that she wrote in the fog on the mirror
And I catch it before it fades away
It’s a heart with an arrow

She’s In Love, Keskare’

Chorus

Watersound
(The first Stansa played before the live audience at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino Italy.) Copyright Cliff Paris

Imagine If I could put you in a word.
The sound of it, almost as beautiful as your name
When your word was spoken, we could feel your presence,
Your emotion. A thousand times a day you could appear
And everyone could hear.
We would have the sense that you were close, your word even sounds warm and, as solid as I stand here, we would have instant company and we could have coffee....

Maybe let’s put you in the wind. I could feel you pass by and breathe you in. Your passion would douse candles, your love would be a warm breeze on a moonlit walk, and we would talk for miles and the wind, she wears sandals.

We could put you in a tone. You could be a sound represented by one wave, alone.
If a break squealed, you would be on the wheel.
If a bird sung, you would be flying
Or maybe your tone is in an infant crying.

What If I combined them all and added water
You could rush down with the rain and help the garden,
Speak to the cucumbers and lettuce and pool upon the rose peddles to sun and reach the sky again as you evaporate and the birds whisper your name.

A Majestic snow capped mountain, a Gray cloud,
The reflection on the lake is your art.
A deer drinking and the ripples travel.
Nice work, its obviously from the heart.

You would be the hot spring in which I would swim
A mother’s womb where life begins
If you were water your courage, and you have lots of courage, would be the Waterfall

If you were water,
You would rise with the tide In a Wave, in the Sea
You would master the water and you would carry us all, to safe ground,
(you will save us all)
You would be the one who could save.
You would be the one, who would save me,
You would be the WaterSound.

Celebrate the Tears

Cliff Paris
Copyright 2006

Some of the best kisses
Have salty tears
Some of the fights
Bring you back for years

Some of the best birthdays
Have lots of crying
Some of the best waves are caught
Out of the corner of your eye
And I’m Wavin’ goodbye

I’ll Celebrate the tears
I don’t know how long you’ll be gone
But I’ll Wait
I’ll celebrate the tears
And when the tears are gone,
We’ll celebrate

Some of the best friends
You don’t see for years
Some fo the best Shadows
Are cast by strangers

Some of the best fortunes
Are told and not counted
Some of the best road signs,
Lead you out of town
But don’t forget to look in your mirror

I’ll celebrate the Tears
I don’t know how long you’ll be gone
But I’ll Wait
I’ll celebrate the tears
And when the tears are gone,
We’ll celebrate

Delusional
By Cliff Paris

On the kitchen table, there’s a note.
If I don’t Read it, maybe there’s hope.
I sipped on the coffee left in the pot.
You must have just made it and went for a walk.
You Carried on, I saw the way you looked at me, Like I was so Transparent.
I Was Wrong About the way I felt you see, I thought I could hold you forever.

THE ONLY CONCLUSION THAT I CAN RECALL IS I WAS DILUSIONAL AND YOU WERE NOTHING AT ALL.

Your Pillow was missing And most of your clothes.
We might have been robbed In this neighborhood, who Knows.
I checked on the doorstep For the morning news.
The wind seamed to take it and Blew away all the clues.
You Carried on, I saw the way you looked at me like you were so Transparent.
I Was Wrong About the way I felt you see I thought I could hold you forever

THE ONLY CONCLUSION THAT I CAN RECALL IS I WAS DILUSIONAL AND YOU WERE NOTHING AT ALL

To go through the old things,
Memories I can taste.
We didn’t have to throw things,
Like words you can’t erase.
Familiar white tassels From your wedding gown.
We built up the castle But didn’t use stone.

The old lady next door, Rocks on the porch
with kids coming home All Dressed up from church.
It couldn’t be Sunday, I would’ve shaved by then And you would be sleepin...

THE ONLY CONCLUSION THAT I CAN RECALL IS I WAS DILUSIONAL, I WAS DILUSIONAL AND YOU WERE NOTHING
AT ALL
